  • Required Certifications: BLS- required for all. ACLS, TNCC and NIHSS required for ER, ICU and Tele
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: ER: 1:4, ICU: 1:1-2, MedSurg: 1:5, Tele: 1:4, Peds: 1:3, NICU 1:4
    • Job Details
    • Specialty: Clinical Support Unit Boise Hospital (PEDS/PICU or NICU/PICU)
    • Contract Length: 13 weeks
    • Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700
    • Weekend Requirements: Every other
    • Holiday Requirements: Will fill in if there is a need
    • Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color as long as clean and professional
    • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 3 shifts of inpatient orientation
      • Job Requirements
      • 2 years experience required
      • Previous peds travel experience required
      • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years experience in specialty and previous travel experience, Highly prefer antepartum and mother baby experience for L&D travelers
        • Schedule Information
        • Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700. No self-scheduling
        • Weekend Requirements: Every other
        • How are units assigned: Travelers will have an app, 1 hour before shift starts will see what hospital and unit you are going to
          • Unit Specific Information
          • Float Pool - RN
          • What units are included in the float pool: PEDS, ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, NICU at 3 facilities- Boise, Meridian, and Nampa. RNs will only float in their specialty, will never float to a lower acuity
          • PEDS: There is only one peds unit and that is in Boise
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: specified for each unit
          • Are RNs required to titrate drips: ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, ICU, and PICU will be required to titrate
          • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: MedSurg- insulin
          • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift & on each unit: Charge nurse on all units
          • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on the units: Yes ratios: anywhere from 1:8-10 depending on floor and day
            • Additional Details
            • This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles
            • To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review
