Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE,
Cardiac STABLE Must-Have: - Delivery room high-risk resuscitation
experience - IV start and lab draw experience Job Description: -
Work in a Level 2B NICU with infants 32 weeks and greater. - Manage
a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3. - Common patient conditions
include premature birth (32 weeks), late preterm, sepsis,
hypoglycemia, requiring oxygen, NOWS/NAS, and feeding difficulties.
Babies needing ventilation are stabilized and transferred to higher
care. - May initiate and handle short-term management of drips like
Dopamine and Epinephrine before transport to a higher level of
care. - Collaborate with a house supervisor available 24/7 and work
under the guidance of a charge RN each shift. - Work alongside CNA
support for Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/NICU 4-5 days and nights
per week. - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner available 24/7 and routine
usage of CPAP. Ventilators available for emergencies. - No
tele/monitor technicians in the unit. - Work 12-hour shifts,
covering both day and night schedules. - Weekend and holiday work
requirements depend on unit needs. - No on-call or standby
requirement. - Required to float to similar units within the
valley, without taking vented patients. - Blue scrubs are provided
on the unit. - Orientation customized per traveler, typically
lasting 2-3 shifts. - Charting System: Epic Systems Corporation -
EpicCare Inpatient. Special Notes: Candidates must live outside a
50-mile radius from the location to be eligible, aligned with
facility policy.
