hiring for a team-oriented and efficient Medical Assistant!Position
Summary & Highlights:
- This MA position will support resident physicians at our South
Nampa family medicine clinic that will be opening July 1st
(training will start earlier).
- The clinic will begin with an initial class size of 6 residents
in association with the Mountain States Institute for Graduate
Medical Education and Research (MSI) and several core faculty.
- The program includes an aggressive growth plan that will expand
to 24 residents in the next 5 years.
- You will have the opportunity to use a variety of your MA
skills and will see a variety of patients. What Will You Do:
- In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform
phlebotomy, administer immunizations, perform EKGs, and prep
injections.
- You will set up and assist with minor procedures, complete POC
and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task
inbox.
- An ideal candidate will have previous experience working with a
residency clinic or program in family medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN,
internal medicine, or urgent care.
- You will be highly dependable and reliable and have solid
experience with immunizations and phlebotomy. Epic experience is a
plus.
- You will also have strong self-initiative and communication
skills, enjoy developing efficiencies, being part of a supportive
team, and willing to assist in all areas of the clinic.Work
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays, around the hours of
7:00am - 4:30pm.
- Schedule start time and end time will vary based on clinic

Clinic:Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- All Candidates: MA certification required within 90 days of
hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)
- New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an
accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA
externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship
hours even with MA certification.
- Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR
Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90
days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed
above.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from
either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at
hire.
- *EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA
