Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws.Typical Education

• High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
• CDL Truck Driver schoolRelevant Experience-- --
  • Always maintain conscientiousness for safety, while driving as well as performing all other duties
  • Full compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicable
  • Haul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices
  • Inspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
  • Obtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills
  • Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas
  • Maintains electronic driver log according to DOT--regulations
  • Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
  • Makes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenanceRequired Certifications
    • Must have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements and a valid DOT Medical CertificationOther InformationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:-- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
